Crusing-laid back 1st timer?

Help!!!

Looking to have a little mother/daughter first time cruise. She is 55 and I'm 33 and will be 13 weeks pregnant around cruise time. We want a nice little vacation to ourselves before life gets hetic and she takes on grandmother role.

We are both into reading, sightseeing and basically casual relaxing atmosphere. Is there a cruise line/ship that you recomend for two young at heart women for our bon voyage mother daughter adventure.

We could help you better if you gave us more info....what month to you want to travel? Where are you coming from to take air fare into consideration. Do you want warm weather or one of the first of the year Spring cruises to places like Alaska or the Mediterranean. (the latter two have very good pricing for the beginning of the season). I've heard that the repositioning cruises (such as the transatlantic) which happen at the beginning and end of seasons are very relaxing. Share a bit more information....and I think you'll get lots of help here.

Opps, sorry..

I'll be flying out of chicago area and she will be leaving dallas area. We want warm and I suppose that puts us in the Caribbean area. It's a bit last minute but we are thinking end of march (im a returning college student and that is my spring break )

I'm just ready for something warm to escape the chicago chill and take a break from the books. Mom is very easy going and up for just about anything. She's not a very fast mover, tends to be super laid back but happy go lucky with new ideas.

It's a girls trip since the spouses can't escape their work schedules etc.

Redshoe....why not book the 'lit Radisson Diamond? It's a 6* and WELL worth every penny!! We cruised the Caribbean during Christmas on the Diamond....enjoyed the large balconies. The food service, etc., etc. is fabulous! AND right now Radisson is offering 2 for 1 Diamond cruises!!
My Travel Agent happens to be in Dallas and is THE best....they are Radisson
specialists. If interested please feel feel to e-mail me and I'll send you their names and phone number!
This would be a Mother/Daughter Dream Cruise!
Have fun! M.B. (West Texas)

Yes, I agree. The best cruise for what you're looking for is on Radisson. The Diamond sounds perfect for you. For the best information and fares go to a real Radisson specialist:
http://www.brownandkeenetravel.com/

enjoy!

How about a cruise to the Western Caribbean. There are 2 ports there in Texas, since your mom is already there. One in Houston (the Norwegian Sea) that goes to Cozemul, Cancun, Belize, Roatan Bay, Hondures. Then there are 2 cruises leaving from Galvastan, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. We chose the Norweigan Sea. It is a smaller ship and older though it has been refurbished. I've read good and bad reviews on it, but overall mostly good. We definatly got a better price going on the Norweigan.

Is Redshoe still around? Did you go last March or March 2004?
Any decision yet?
