What do you need insurance for? Trip cancellation/interruption, medical/evacuation or both? Some credit cards include cancellation insurance but check the policy limits and pre-existing conditions clauses. Even if you purchase a travel insurance policy, you still need to check the pre-existing condition waiver requirements if this applies to you. If you just need medical/evac and travel frequently, there are annual policies. The insurance comparison sites mentioned above are a good place to start.

I looked at the insurance groups mentioned above but since I had booked through Costco Travel, I checked a link they included for my last trip. They gave extra benefits that I would have paid additional $$ for on other plans.
My credit card included some additional vacation insurance.

I buy an annual policy that covers all medical and medical evac if I am more than 500 miles from home. It will get me to the nearest appropriate facility. How well it works??? Have no idea. Have never used it and hope not to. Trip interruption insurance is covered by my Chase Reserve credit card.
