Crown Dynasty Info

Has anyone cruised on this ship? I understand it had been the Norwegian Dynasty, but I'd like to know how the food and facilities are since Crown Cruise Line bought it. Thanks in advance for any helpful info.

Hi Nancy,
I am a travel agent and do know the Dynasty is being leased to Crown or Apple Vacations.

I know that NCL did not maintain the ship very well. I do not think it was put into drydock for refurbishment.

I am not selling it until my questions are answered.

Paul

The ship was built in 1993 and refurbished in 1999.

I too am contemplating a Carribean cruise aboard the Dynasty via Apple Vacations. Has anyone ever traveled on this ship? From the looks of things here, I haven't seen much feedback that will help us Nancy. Thanks in advance if anyone has info.

Friends cruised on her New Years cruise and were quite pleased. The ship carries a 4 star rating and althought she is small by todays standards she provides a good product.ravelPage.com Rating:
Submit your review here
Operator:Norwegian Cruise Line
Year Built / Last Refurbished: 1993 / 1996
Length / Tonnage: 537 / 20,000
Number of Cabins / Passengers: 410 / 820
Officers / Crew: British/ Filipino
Operating Area: Southern Caribbean and Bermuda
Overview: she started life for Crown Cruise Lines and was then
sold to Cunard. She transferred to Majesty in March of 1997 and
then to NCL in late 1997. She began sailing for the new Crown
Cruise Line in December 1999 and will spend the winter sailing to
the Southern Caribbean. In May of 2000 she will begin service to
Bermuda from the Philadelphia Naval Yard. She is small, stylish
and has a surprising amount of space. The Hamilton dining room
has a great view of the ocean from three sides. Service and the
quality of food are very good.
