Best Cruise ship for a couple

Hey guys! I’ve been thinking to go on a cruise with my partner but can’t decide on what cruise is worthy. I want to depart from Vancouver, Canada. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Royal Caribbean is our favorite, a lot of fun but still somewhat cultured. They have a nice Hawaiian cruise, and it does leave from Vancouver. Royal Caribbean’s website is one of the easiest to navigate as well. Good luck finding your perfect cruise and enjoy!

It would help to know more about you.
How old are you? Some ships cater to an older demographic.
Do you want to be around a lot of children?
What are you looking for on a cruise ship?
How long do you want to be on the ship?

As a couple we enjoy both Oceana and Regent Seven Seas. Our neighbors and my spouse's cousin both swear by Norwegian Cruse Line. We also have friends who love Celebrity and still others who enjoy both Seaborne and Crystal. The point is, there's no one cruise line that is "best" for couples. Which one is "best" for you depends on your travel style, what size ship you want, whether you want a budget friendly or high end experience or something in-between, how long a cruise you want and, of course, what ship's itinerary appeals to you. You might want to visit the Cruise Critic website, there you can find out what amenities every cruise line has to offer, compare ship sizers and itineraries and even get a handle on the demographics of passengers. You'll be able to p[eruse hundreds upon hundreds of reviews for every cruise line.

Once you've narrowed down your choices to the 2 or 3 cruise lines that best fit your particular travel style you can come back here to and post more specific questions to get revenant feedback.

As RoamsAround said, different cruise lines have different styles.
We have sailed with Carnival (only once, never again), Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, and Oceania. Oceania far surpasses the others for us, but we are probably older than you. We prefer smaller ships and a more subdued atmosphere. The food on Oceania is also fantastic.

Again, tell us more about what you want so we can help you.

I’m 23 and my partner is 24. We don’t mind being around children. We are mostly looking to unwind and explore new places maybe for about 1-3weeks

Hey there! If you’re departing from Vancouver with your partner, a few cruise lines are especially good for couples. 1. Princess Cruises – Their Alaska itineraries from Vancouver are well-known for great scenery, relaxed vibes, and plenty of couple-friendly spaces. 2. Holland America Line – A bit quieter, very elegant, and ideal if you want a peaceful atmosphere with good food and beautiful observation lounges. 3. Celebrity Cruises – A more modern feel, very comfortable for couples who enjoy good dining and stylish design. If you haven’t cruised before, I’d say Princess and Celebrity are the best balance of comfort + value.
