Bermuda-Which cruise line does it best?

We are planning a cruise to Bermuda in Feb. We'll be leaving from Baltimore, but can embark anywhere on the east coast. Which cruise line would you recommend?

Cruises to Bermuda, regardless of where you sail from, only cruise from April/May through October. Not being in the Caribbean somewhat limits the cruise season to Bermuda. We have taken 3 cruises there, 2 on Celebrity and 1 on NCL and I would highly recommend Celebrity. They dock in both Hamilton and St. George and there food and service is outstanding. Overall, I just feel Celebrity offers a better product. Both the Zenith and the Horizon sail to Bermuda from NY but sometimes have special sailings from other east coast ports. Best to check with a TA for their schedule. However you get to Bermuda, you'll LOVE it! We've been on 16 cruises and it's one of our very favorite ports.

I agree with her, Celebrity is great. Royal Caribbean's Nordic Empress is also wonderful. Avoid the Princess ship (old and tiny), and NCL,which only goes to St. George. Don't know anything about the Crown Dynasty out of Phil. and Baltimore. I think I would stick with Celebrity or Royal Caribbean. You will LOVE Bermuda. Absolutely picture-postcard perfect!

We are going to Bermuda from Boston on NCL for the 8th time in September...we have just booked also our 2001 trip in May. Would recommend not leaving before mid-May or after end of September...and also BEFORE school gets out.. Since we go direct from Boston we stay in St. George which is charming..I wish it went to Hamilton for one day only... But you have to realize that the Government of Bermuda limits the cruise ships, in how many passengers that they can bring in and how many ships and where they can dock.. I'm sure now it's hands down in choosing the ship..Celebrity would probably win..but we love the convenience of cruising outside of Boston..50% of the Majesty is booked by repeaters and most categories are gone by the end of the year.....I';ve already told my husband that in 2002..we are flying over for a week the beginning or mid-May..there is never enough time in Bermuda..

We are recently back from our third Bermuda cruise. 1st was on RCCl about 10 years ago. Last year on Zenith, this year Horizon - both Celebrity ships. We have taken many other cruises as well and feel that Celebrity is THE Cruise Line for us. Everything was wonderful on both of their ships. The food was terrific, the service amazing, the activities were enjoyed by all family members for age 7 to age 70+. Embarkation and disembarkation were handled very well. Probably my only complaint would be the number of smokers on board this year - didn't notice it last year but this year there seemed to be someone smoking in every lounge we went into. They don't allow any smoking in the large show lounge or the dining room fortunatly. I would highly reccomend Celebrity. If you have children traveling with you go over summer vacation -the youth programs are great!
