Azamara - or not
I have just discovered Azamara Cruises had never heard of them before. I am liking what I see but would like an opinion from someone who has travelled with Azamara before. I am in my late 50's and would be travelling with a girlfriend of same age, has anyone Cruised with Azamara and what did you think.

We're sailing with Azamara for the first time next month so will have to let you know. We are love Oceania and have been on many of their cruises so we'll be interested to see how Azamara compares to them. If you wish to e-mail me at the end of Feb., let me know.
I would also suggest that you check cruisecritic.com

Yes, do check www.cruisecritic and read all the stuff on Azamara. Briefly, if you are a port destination traveler, like smaller ships, don't need constant bingo, games, and show entertainment, enjoy good food, don't mind small casino, no smoking other than 2 small designated areas of the ship, you will enjoy Azamara. However, if you cruise for the ship experience itself, you may prefer a larger ship and all that it offers in the way of entertainment and activities. All depends on what you are looking for. We prefer smaller (700 psgrs) ships and are more interested in the ports than the ship. Azamara has recently become Azamara Club Cruises with some changes in their program, you can also read all that in the News section of Cruisecritic and in some of the threads.

We sailed with Azamara in July 09 to the Baltic. We have also sailed with Oceania. We enjoyed the Baltic cruise. Yes your age group will fit right in. Is there some other particular aspect you have a question about? I agree that cruisecritic is a good source of info.
