Was on a cruise with a famous author (name to be left anonymous) and he had the biggest bar bill EVER on this particular ship. He was buying bottles of wine/champaign every night for his table mates, plus if you ever wanted to find him on the ship, for a one-on-one talk... just LOOK IN THE BAR and there he would be. I didn't ever see his bar bill, but heard it was huge for a one week trip! Ahhh, the price of fame.
Hubby and I don't usually have a drink in the daytime, but would have a $30+ bottle of wine each night at dinner. That can add up.

For all your drinks, most cruise ships add a 15% service charge for the servers.
Here is a rough estimate of what we paid on my last cruise, give/take a few cents:
Beer - $4
Premium Beer - $5
Drink of the cruise (Bloody Mary) - $4
FooFoo drinks (the ones with fruit & umbrella - $6.50
Double Martini at martini bar (grey goose) - $9
Wine by the glass $5-$8 depending on type
Wine by the bottle - roughly $25 and up
From the above list, figure out how much you will drink a day taking into account some days you will be at sea all day, nights in the casino (no free drinks in the casino), eye openers in the morning, and wine with dinner.
I would bring a bottle or two of spirits for your stateroom. Bubble wrap it in your hard luggage or carry it on board very discretely. I've never had it confiscated except for Carnival Cruise lines. It was my first cruise and will be my last cruise with them.
I bring my own wine (make it at home) and have to pay $12.00 at dinner for corkage -- a little high but worth it. RCCL I believe only charges $8.00.
