Anyone going on the Carnival Legend April 25

We are leaving on a one week cruize on the Carnival Legend out of Tampa on April 25th...in one week yippee

Is anyone else going...there will be 4 of us going. Maybe we can meet up and have a drink and compare notes.

Has anyone booked any of the excursions or has anyone done them in the past ?

We booked a rental car for Grand Cayman and we are going to do Cave Tubing on Belize I think and do Zip Lining on the Isla Roatan but in Cozumel we join a group for a scavanger hunt.

We have booked most everything thru Island Marketing, LTD has anyone used these people before ?

My first Carnival cruise. I have done MSC anf NCL once but that is the extent of my cruising and I have never done the Carribean the NCL was Hawaii and the MSC was Greek Islands so we are looking forward to a cruise as little closer to home.

At www.cruisecritic.com, go to Boards, roll call, Carnival, Legend, and look for your dates. It's a good place to find fellow passengers.

Sorry SiteC_er I didn't see this post until today for some reason

If you have not already gone let me just say it was wonderful

Number 1, do not do any of the excursions from the cruise ship way to expensive and they waste a lot of your time.

We did Zip Linning on Roatan and it was great and I would do it again and we did cave tubing on Belize...fun the first half hour after that boring and I have since been told Zip Linning is better on Belize than Roatan however IMO it was great on Roatan

By the way this was my first time zip linning, a little apprehensive at first but after 1st one...easy as pie and by the way I am a 59 year old female who is usually afraid of heights but this was the best experience ever

We had a great guide on Roatan I can hook you up with her number direct and save you a bunch...she was so much fun and we just love her and she is even a friend on my facebook now so I get to still talk to her and I think that's great !!!

On Grand Cayman we rented a car and drove all over to the town of "HELL' so now we have been to Hell and Back (how clever)

On Cozumel we did a treasure hunt and that was so much fun and there is a bar there where we had the greatest time !!! Not to mention the best food ever....

If you want more specifics let me know I will be happy to get you all the info

Loved the trip, would I do it again.......sure thing....
would I recommend it to my friends and family.....you bet....

So there you have it !!!

Areala....glad to hear you had a good time! We don't leave for another month or so. As for Zip Lining, we did it Costa Rica last summer and had a blast. On Roatan & Grand Cayman we're looking to go snorkeling and/or scuba diving. However, would love to hear about your treasure hunt on Cozumel. Is this the same as "The Great Race" I've heard about (similar to the TV show)? Let me know where you signed up and the name of the great restaurant.

Also, curious to know if you booked your excursions prior to your trip or did you find tour operators in port? Last but not least, would love to get any tips or suggestions about the ship!

Well we booked everything prior to the trip thru Island Marketing but I don't see the scavenger hunt thing there anymore. Probably not enough interest there were only a few of us.

None of us were into the snorkeling or scuba diving so we just tried to find other things to do. On Roatan and Belize I did see other tour operators outside the gates that were trying to sign people up but I don't know how reliable they are and if you get your money's worth.

The restaurant bar thing was Carlos and Charlies...a really great fun place to go and all the waiters sing and it was just a really fun time not to mention very good food and drinks...

As far as the ship goes it was small the shows were kinda hokey commedians were great...

If you get into shipboard stuff they will probaly divide ship into 2 teams even # rooms and odd number rooms and do door decorating ....we won....yeah...so bring tape like packing tape so you can tape stuff to your doorl,,, save your drink cups from drink of the day and tape to the door some of the shipboard activites were kinda fun just to pass the time.....food to me was mediocre at best...we liked eating in the dinning room better than the buffet. you only have to dress up for the dinning room those 2 nights when they have the captains party and the gala night other than that we just wore capri's or sundresses.

I loved the deli which is open all night for room service and is free....I think I ordered a ruben sandwich every night...

Just enjoy you will have a great time....
