advice pls !

We are party of 3 couples from NJ, USA to go on 9/15 RCL cruise out of Venice.
We have to fly to Geneva and make connection to Venice(we are returning to Geneva after the cruise for one week stay) and can only arrive Venice airport at 2:00pm. Will this give us enough time to board 5:00pm ship or are we cutting too close considering possible flight delays ? Your advice will be highly appreciated.

I think that's cutting it way too close, especially with a connection involved. I'd think about coming into Venice the day before.

We're doing a RCL cruise out of Venice in November (maybe the same one?) and arrive that morning at 9am, and I'm still a tinge nervous about it!

I wouldn`t do it. You may be just fine, or not. It is a tight connection to make it to the ship. Why can`t you come early and spend the night in either Venice or Geneva? Plus you will be stressed out, worrying. We went a day early, and spent a night in Auckland NZ, before getting on a ship. People who flew in that day missed the ship, because, flying through Dallas, there was a snow storm, and it comepletely shut down Dallas. Recently, flying into Hawaii and getting on a ship, the people coming from Japan all missed the ship too, due to weather problems. Don`t risk it.

I wouldn't do it. It is too tight. Have you considered an open jaws of flying into Milan or even directly to Vencie and home from Geneva. But if that is you only choice, you need to go a day early.

Reisender - I'm a few months late into checking back, can you tell?
