This may go down as the dumbest question ever but here goes....when you look at the layouts of the ships in the brochures which is the front and which is the back? There appears to be a more pointed end but I don't know if this is the front or the back. If I'm considering a verandah, I'd like to chose the side which will have the most time facing the land not the water. Is the top of the page the front of the ship (moving forward)??Thank you for helping me with my ignorance (my TA is on vacation or I would have called)

I don't know which brochure or ship you're looking at, but most have the bow (front) at the top of the page and the back at the bottom of the page. Hope this helps!

Also, the pointy end is generally the bow (forward).

I agree with Denise. also i find the cabins are usually number lowest in the bow or front and advance up as you go to the stern or back. be sure you check the brochure for any code meaning OBSTRUCTED view. you can sometimes get this cabin cheaper but you get what you paid for. some of these balconies are looking at the bottom of a life boat.

More Info: I found a way to remember which side is which: Port is the Left side. Thus, Starboard is the Right side. Clue: Port has the same number of letters as the word, Left. --Also, if you're asked to row the ship, tell 'em no thanks! <wink>
