Wyndham Sugar Bay

Has anyone ever stayed here? How is the food, accommodations, service, beach and snorkeling? Any information you can provide would be helpful.

Just got back from the Wyndam (July) beautiful! The rooms are clean most with water views. The hotel sits on a hill/cliff and has steps down to the pool/beach. The steps arn't that bad if you get tired take the shuttle. The food is very good for all-inclusive. Morning breakfast buffet a pool side grill (hamburgers, tuna steaks, etc.) and a choice of buffet or sit down dinners. The beach is small, you can snorkel off the rocks to the right but its best to take a ferry to St. John.. Service is very good. While we were there they were painting the building it was about 60% done but didn't interfere with anything. Hope this helps. Have a great time!

Hi-we were there in February.. the hamburgers at the grill are the best..buffets best avoided, but then again I am anti-buffet--breakfasts were great--but make reservations immediately for supper every night aftr breakfast in the dining room, much nicer... Beach nothing to rave about--go to St. John's... big hint....at the end of the driveway you can get a local bus in town for $1.00-- Traffic is also the worst I've ever seen on an island... Write for me info..

Just returned from the Wyndam ,first week of July. I would recommend this resort and island to everyone ! The food and bar service were excellent. The staff was very helpful. The pool area is fun with three connecting pools and a waterfall. The snorkeling off the right side of the beach by the rocks and on St. John was awesome. The beach is small but nice with awesome views of other islands. The view off the room porch is wonderful, ask for a room on floors 1-3.The resort is close to Red Hook ,so you can catch a water taxi for $3 each way to St. John

The resort has a nice health club, with tennis and basketball. I enjoyed the shopping downtown, check the cruise ship schedule to avoid crowds.

Is the water okay to drink at the hotels on St. Thomas?
