Wyndham Resort- what to expect

Tell me about the Wyndham. My husband and I are going in mid August. How are the rooms, restaurants, pool, beach? Can you walk to the other resorts? (Hyatt, Marriott) Any info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I believe you are referring to the Wyndham Aruba. Good choice! The hotel has been recently refurbished. When at the pool they will come around with cloths for your face, fruit on a stick and even personal CD players. The packages come with full buffet breakfast and their Italian restaurant is quite good for dinner. Yes, you can walk to all the other hotels on Palm Beach. You can either walk on the beach/water edge or there is a sidewalk (sometimes referred to as the boardwalk) that connects the hotels with the exception of the Marriott which is set off more by itself. Enjoy!

Try www.wheretostay.com it has many reviews that I have found quite useful.

Hi Liz:

I think you picked a great resort! You will be glad you picked the Wyndham. It's a nice resort and you can easily walk, as Myrna indicated to the other hotels on Palm Beach. You are also close to the DePalm Pier where they have a great happy hour between 6 and 7. Great spot to watch sunsets. We enjoyed our dinner at Pago Pago. Have fun!

My husband & I stayed at the Wyndham Aruba for our honeymoon last September. The service was excellent - far surpassing anything I heard about the other hotels. The Italian restaurant is very good. There's a little cafe outside that you can eat breakfast at, which is also nice. We rented a jeep the whole time we were there, so we didn't do much walking. I suppose you could walk, but it's kind of far to other things.

I was glad to see this posting. I am looking at staying at the Wyndham also. My choice has been narrowed down to the Wyndham, Marriott Beach Club (time share portion of the hotel????) and the Hyatt. I have read several postings about the small rooms and balconies at the Hyatt and for the price, the Whydham seems to have the best deal in Aruba for luxury. Any thoughts? How are the rooms, balconies, pool and food at the Wyndham? Has anyone seen the time share portion of the Marriott?
Chelsey
