Where to stay in Martinique?
I am thinking of taking my kids (age 10 and 13) to Martinique for spring break. I'd like to stay some where w/in an easy walk for a nice beach and a few restaurants/grocery store. We need a "do nothing" beach vacation. I'd like to avoid renting a car if possible (or only for a couple days) and mostly hang out at the beach and laze around. Looking for recommendations for an area to stay in and/or a specific hotel.
Many thanks!

I have not been There for a long long time. But when we went there, we always stayed in Le Diamant. The Hotel we used to stay would not suit You as it Is not in the village, nor There is a Beach nearby but there are more options in the village. The village has a local feeling but still with tourist inclination. The Beach is very good. The view on the Rock is Great.
Also nice is Anse d'Arlets.
The big tourist spot is Trois Islets but I Never fancied it That Much. Just a marina with couple of sand patches.
