Where to stay

We are in our late fifties and want to find a reasonably prices hotel in Barbados for April Can someone help with advice? Like walks on the beach, floating around in the water, not too many noisy kids in the pool quiet at night. Prefer kitchen to do lunch and breakfast. Would the majority of other tourists be American and Canadian at this time of year or is it mainly Europeans. Looking at the Coconut Court Causirina or Sea Breeze etc. Thanks for any help.

Try Casuarina - it's in a much nicer location than Coconut Court. Sea Breeze is also, nice, but on a smaller piece of property than Cas. You might also look into Bougainvillea. You should find a healthy mix of Canadians, Americans, and British. April starts the "off" season, so it will be fairly quiet as well.

I would highly recommend staying at the Bougainvillea. My wife and I went in September, the kitchen was great and saved us plenty of $$'s. Great beach, and close to plenty of attractions ($5 to the St Laurence Gap). <BR>A good mix of Americans and Europeans.

Try the Tamarind Cove. Nice accomandations. The beach was wonderful. It's on the west coast. There are no kitchens but there are shops near by to buy food. Hope this helps.
