Ting is a soft drink, grapefruit-flavored, I think, that I drink on St. Kitts/Nevis (with CSR), "ting with a sting."

I'm pretty sure it's available on other islands, and in some US supermarkets.

The closest thing I've found here at home is Fresca.

I've never seen Ting in US supermarkets. It's made by Pepsi I think.

It is a grapefruit flavored soda and it is yummy!

Fresca is close but just not the same.

Oooh. I like fresca so I'm sure I'll love Ting, especially with Vodka. ;o) Thanks.

Ting is not bottled by Pepsi. It's available on many islands, not just St. Kitts/Nevis. You'll find it in some specialty food stores in the US and in ethnic shops located in predominently West Indian communities of major cities. Look for the distinctive green bottle with the yellow lettering.

Doesn't it all depend which island?
On one of the French islands...the food!
Agree with the snorkeling/beach.
The people.
The music.
TPatricco: Never heard of Ting (but A_Traveller, Pepsi sure claims on its website that it bottles it).
Have you ever tried Cola Champagne? It's like a fizzy fruit soda. I think it's more from Latin America than the Caribbean, but wondering if it tastes like Ting..because I love Cola Champagne.

Caribtraveler - I'm not doubting you but I went to www.pepsi.com and couldn't find any mention of Ting there. In fact when I typed "Ting" in their search feature I got a "no match found" message. So obviously one of us is looking at a different web-site. Regardless it's a good drink.

The Ting I've gotten here in the US was bottled in Jamaica.

Statia:I just read about the green flash in a travel book on Hawaii!! I guess it happens in the caribbean also!

I have seen Ting before. I just can't remember where.

Must haves in the caribbean: A wahoo was a frozen drink that I had in the Bahamas...very tasty. My husband would say a ginger beer he had in Bermuda!

I would say a warm breeze on a sunny day overlooking beautiful blue green water thinking that I have nothing better to do, but enjoy my day!!

Cho, TING is JAMAICAN and licensed under Pepsi to be bottled and sold on many island and the U.S. It's a real refreshing grapefruit soda, like Fresca without the chemicals.

In Jamaican patois, 'h' is not voiced.
Ting is thing. Look for it, preferably in glass bottles, in the GOYA section of many U.S. supermarkets, along with Ginger Beer/the Goya/Hispanic kind, not the same 'ting' as ginger beer, the REAL spicy, North Carolina-style, found on island.

many say the full moon party at bomba shack on tortolla.
for me personally:
sunset on the beach w/any libation.
snorkeling all day.
lying in bed and being able to hear the waves on the beach.
staying long enough to get used to island time.

To me, Ting tastes a lot like Squirt, only slightly more bitter.

Ting is made by D&G (Desnoes & Geddes) makers of Red Stripe in JA

Must do :
- Stingray City - Grand Cayman
- Bloody Bay Wall - Little Cayman (shallowest wall dive in the world)
- Carnival - Trinidad
- A cold Red Stripe and Jerk Pork at a roadside stand in JA

Just a few for starters

Sitting in my favourite Havana cafe, sipping a Mojito, listening to hot Salsa, and smoking a nice Cohiba. Ahhhh that's heaven.
