Westin Rio Mar Beach
Thinking of traveling to Puerto Rico the third week in March. Looking for a beautiful beach, crystal clear and warm ocean, great accommodations and terrific food...Not much to ask right?? The Westin Rio Mar Beach. Golf Resort and Spa looks like it meets my accommodation expectations, but I don't know much about the beach, water, and temperature that time of the year. Can anyone help?

We were there in January a couple of years ago and the water was nice and warm there, so late March should also be fine. I would rate the beach as a 3 on a 1-4 scale. It was very clean and wide, but not the crystal clear, blue water that some Caribbean beaches have.
We did have a couple of nice meals there, but as with most resorts, you wind up paying premium prices for what is not always consistant quality.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I wish we could have found some more good restaurants "off campus".

The Westin Rio Mar is a great place, we were there two years ago. But the water is definitely not crystal clear, in fact, most days the lifeguards weren't letting people swim because it was too rough (I didn't think it was that rough and would have gone in, but that was their policy).
The beach itself is quite nice, and the hotel staff is really helpful.
