We just got back from Vieques. For dining: 4 syllables: El Quenepo in Esperanza - best food we had on the island. Dinner only. Resverations HIGHLY recommended.

Buen aprovecho!

El Quenepo is a favorite among my friends.
Sadly, La Campesena closed last week, here's hoping the boys can reopen-sometime and somewhere!!

We're going to Vieques in a couple of weeks. Is El Quenepo kid-friendly? My kids are 8 and 10 and do better with more casual, relaxed places. Other recommendations?
Thanks.

I would say no to being kid friendly. It is a touch fancy and a menu with peurto rican flair.

Your kids will love Duffy's and Banana's and Belly Button's all along the same stretch.

Where are you staying??

Thanks, we'll make sure to check them out.

We're staying at Casa Ladera-- wanted a condo with kitchen and grill, with kids it can be easier to make our own breakfasts and lunches. They'll love the pool, too.
