No problem, Sreekanth, you want to go to the British Virgin Islands. As follows:
1. There are at least 100 beaches on Tortola, the principal island of the BVI. I have not seen one that is not clean. About 90% have wonderful views that include other islands. You can take a day-trip over to Anegada, a coral island whose coastline is all beach with good snorkling 50 yards off the beach.
2. From several locations on the island you can take a low-cost ferry ride to St. Johns or St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, to Yost Van Dyke, or to Virgin Gorda. There are literally hundreds of sail boats available for charter with or without crews. The catamaran "Patouche II" will take you snorkling to nearby deserted islands for an excellent day or half day cruise. There are dozens of other nautical opportunities such as those I've mentioned.
3. Scenic? It has tall mountains with winding roads. There are no resorts that I know of that do not have good, excellent, or fabulous views.
4. The people their were governed by the British for a few centuries and you know how the Brits love calm, neat, orderly life! These people are courteous, dignified, and of considerable integrity. The only place where the taxi cab driver (a woman) kissed me good bye at the airport when I left. Speaking of the airport, there are still ducks and chickens walking around right outside the door. That's calm!
5. I've been there 5 times over 10 years and have had no problem whatsoever. I have no fear of walking around at night nor does my wife. ( I have experienced crime in the US Virgin Islands, however, and would not recommend them.)
6. I don't know what your budget is or what your expectations are regarding lodging, meals, etc. so I cannot answer this, but if you wish to email me at the address above I can tell you what you can expect for the amount you wish to spend.

Sreekanth:
I should have mentioned that the BVI is also uncrowded. No crowds whatsoever. When you aim your camera there will not be 50 tourists blocking the shot. My guess is that there is 1 person on each 100 m of beach. Also they limit the size of resorts---no building can be taller than 3 stories.
Sreekanth, I believe that Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic meets all your criteria. It has 26 miles of continuous white sand beaches (voted in top 10 in the world). Take a day trip to either Saona island or Catalina island. Mountains are just off the coast and there are wonderful trips you can take (Bavaro Runners, Outback Safari) to see them. Calm, neat and beautiful....Punta Cana is a bit isolated from the rest of the DR because just 10 years ago, it was a coconut plantation all the way to the ocean without any towns nearby. Therefore, extremely little crime in that area and the people are exceptionally friendly and kind. It is one of the most inexpensive places in the caribbean but that's already beginning to change!! It's being "discovered" so you'd best go now before it becomes overcrowded, etc. It's my favorite place of outstanding beauty!!! (Just a note...the BVI's from where I live are EXCEPTIONALLY expensive!!!)

My coworker and her husband went to Punta Cana, DR, last year for their honeymoon and it was a complete disaster. She came back in tears. The resort was understaffed, the hotel completely ran out of water, the linen was dirty, there was a mosquito problem in the room, there were problems with the toilets, they were warned to stay within the resort grounds for their own safety, etc. They were so disgusted they could not wait to return home. It could have been a bad time of year, but it still should not have gotten this out of control.

Hi,
Aside from the mountains, I think that Eleuthera in the Bahamas could meet your needs and it is very close to Florida -- especially for only a 4 day visit. We stayed at The Cove which is very nice, quiet, clean and Eleuthera has beautiful, deserted beaches.
