Turtle Nest Inn

If anyone out there has stayed at the Turtle Nest Inn and could share your experience there, that would be great. My husband & I will be spending our 2nd honeymoon there in December in Apt. 6. We've never been to the Caymans, so any recommendations would be great. Thanks.
Been to Cayman before and to other Caribbean islands but our stay at the Turtle Nest was by far the best vacation. Excellent accommodations, service & snorkeling, warm & intimate atmosphere & located in a village that gives you a real island feel. Your making the right choice. If you don't believe me just check out the comments from other guests at their internet site - www.turtlenestinn.com . Theres no doubt that we'll stay there next time around!!

Pat,

I saw your post on another board. Just in case you didn't see it, I'm copying my reply to you here:
----------------------
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Turtle Nest to you!

Our corner of the Inn was very comfortable --- calling it a "room" doesn't do justice --- a "suite"? too formal --- a "condo" feels impersonal, or an "apartment", much too bland. It felt quite simply --- like home.
Anytime I need to calm myself, I close my eyes & watch the full moon rising over the ocean at the Inn & a wave of relaxation comes over me. From the moment we arrived, we were totally relaxed. Our balcony overlooked a quiet little beach & gorgeous multi-hued water & we felt, while there, that we had Grand Cayman all to ourselves.

The location is fine -- a pleasant drive in either direction, east to Rum Point or west to SMB & the tourist areas. The snorkeling was superb --- an amazing & always changing underwater scene, just steps away. The owners are sweet, thoughtful people & we're looking forward to seeing them again.

Our parting comments in the guest book are buried deep in the "guest's comments" section of their website, but if you'll browse the words left by other couples you should get a feel for what's it's like to stay at the Turtle Nest.

We found peace & tranquility there, possibly the most rejuevenating vacation we've ever had. We did enjoy going to Seven Mile --- it's very beautiful & the lodgings look nice. But when we go back to Cayman this fall, we're going home.

Julia

My husband and I stayed there on our first trip to the Caymans, and we loved it. We are not into the big corporate hotel/all inclusive scene, though -- TNI is small, out of the way and charming. The owners were so friendly and the apartments were lovely. The other guests were also very sociable, which was a bonus.
