Turks and Caicos vs St Barts vs St John: Is there a difference?
There are so many threads that speak to the similarities of the 3 islands below. Can anyone speak to some of the key differences and why one person would decide to go to one area over another during January?

- St Barts
- St John

Beautiful panaramic views on hilly cliffy roads, beautiful deserted beaches,no big hotels ,resorts or casinos.Has French/European flare to it.No crime poverty or beggars.Pricey.S.J Best beaches and nature.

Umpire has it pretty much nailed. These three islands are different geographically but similar in the sense that they are quiet, low key destinations. St Barts has the most european feel. St John is more of a nature lovers paradise (65% national park) T&C is all about incredible beaches but not much else!

While you can be at busy St. Jean Beach in St. Barts where all the water activities are you can also escape to Colombier and sometimes have the beach almost to yourselves! St. Barts is my favorite of the three. The villas are wonderful in St. Barts when renting thru WIMCO. Highest standard of living is here.
I also like Provo--the water is transparent -- not a scenic island but the beaches are hard to beat.
I think you can't go wrong with any of these three really good choices. Baybe a resort/villa that really appeals to you will help you decide.

Might want to check out weather in Turks - Provo-- during January--normally the Bahamas are not always that great and they aren't far away. I guess you could go into Google and type out "Climate, Turks and Caicos" as someone else on another thread suggested.
