Take a look at the Corriander Cottage located in the Turtle Cove area. The reviews I've seen about it are great. Provo is best if you want choices in restaurants. The other islands are more quiet. Depends on what you are looking for.

i want to have the best of both worlds. seclusion, and nightlife. mid caicos villas are cheap ( incomparison to provo) but is it a problem getting around? are there bridges from each island or just boat? sounds like a funny ? but i can't find an answer anywere. thanks for info about corriander, that was my 1st choice, booked until may!!

Hard to island hop. Have to go by boat, catch a ride from an excursion company (around $225)
Nothing at Middle Caicos-only 300 people live there-gorgeous beaches, but nothing else, you even have to pretty much grocery shop at Provo and take it with you. No ferries, no bridges, there are flights.
There's not a huge amount of nightlife on Provo either, but excellent restaurant choices, I think Provo is the best for what you are looking for. Corriander cottage is an excellent idea. You can walk to a couple of restaurants and happy hours, all around a marina.

hi lori, my what a lucky husband you have.
there are no bridges or boats between islands. you can fly but its not cheap. provo has next to no nightlife to speak of.
i prefer the turtle cove area because of the snorkeling at smiths reef. and it is away from the hub bub. you might look at www.atlanticbeachfrontvillas.com. which was known as windows ala mar, it's just a ways down the beach from corriander but is sometimes rented as 2.
mr moog, who owns corriander, also has gumbo and limbo across the road from windows - still a good location.
or he has the other group of villas on the south side of the island including "the cottage" which might work for you. about 20 min drive to all the restaurants/shopping/grace bay beach.
check out the villa section of www.provo.net
aqua marine beach houses are nice (and their site has the best island map avail on line). be sure to click on the rental companies: elliot holdings, market place villas, prestigious properties, and t&c safari.
if bella sur mer is open its a good house but a bit large you just you 2. columbus cottage might work but is not on the beach. from pres prop: crystal sands on sapodilla beach is nice but is a 2 part house. or villa camilla and villa camilla guest house on grace bay are pretty secluded yet only 10 min drive from stuff.
on the market place site look at the tyler house guest house and lil'bight. both in a great location on grace bay.
i'd go later in march so the water will be warmer.

thank you so much for the info. i've been looking into a lot i think i found a villa though it's a little pricy, but of course the turks are more $ than other islands. what are your thoughts on exuma? it looks beautiful. i found a cute beach villa for less than half the price of turks. it's booked until end of april. it it a nice island?
