We went on a cultural exchange to Havana a few years ago with a group called Cross Cultural Solutions. Unfortunately, since then the US government has really tightened the travel rules and they have dropped Cuba from thier itineraries.
If you can get permission from the government to fly, there are flights from Miami to Havana. I think it's highly unlikely you'll get the visa though.
You can always fly through Canada, the Bahamas or Mexico. Cuba will not stamp your passport, but you're going to have extra stamps from the country you fly in/out of. It's not likely you'll get caught, but it's expensive if you do.
Havana is a fascinating city. I hope to be able to make a return visit one of these days.

Having been to Cuba many times, I can assure you it's a fascinating country with wonderful culture, music and people. Perhaps if you could give us an idea of....
Where you're flying from?
What are your interests? Cultural, Historical, Architectural, or just plain lazing on a beach?
How long would you like to go for? Let me know and I'll assist where possible.

This is for Canuck_at_Canada_eh - We are planning to travel Cuba for about 3 weeks in Dec. 07.. I would have many questions for you if you're interested in helping us out. Perhaps your e-mail address? My e-mail is posted. And perhaps someone else out there could fill us in on things?
Thanks

Well if you're headed to Cuba and are looking for information, then there are several Cuba specific travel forums I'd research first.
For General Cuba travel and lots of info on AI type travel, resorts, beaches, etc., then head over to Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Cuba forum at.....
http://debbiesreviews.proboards88.co...cgi?board=Cuba
For independent type travel, then you want to read the Thorn Tree/Lonely Planet Cuba forums at.....
http://thorntree.lonelyplanet.com/ca...s.cfm?catid=14
And of course, there's also the Trip Advisor forums on Cuba at.....
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum...-i91-Cuba.html
You'll find me on all those forums listed as Steve_YYZ.
Happy Cuba Travels.
