Need help!! Trying to plan a carribean trip for my 50th with my wife for a few days mid may. Traveling from NYC so can go anywhere. Been to Aruba, Cayman, Turks, Barbados, St. Lucia,DR, PR, looking for beautiful beach resorts could be ai but prefer not to. We enjoy the local restaurants. On the list currently Bahamas SLS, St. Thomas Ritz, Antigua or Mayakoba open to any and all suggestions.

If you choose USVI, how about St John instead of St Thomas?

I second Suze's recommendation for St. John! It's absolutely beautiful, and 3/4 of the island is a National Park.

I've stayed at the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas and absolutely loved it. I would go again in a heartbeat. It's a beautiful resort.
