Travel Tips when Visiting Carribean

Hey all,

Is there any useful travel trips when visiting the Carribean?

Thanks.

Bring appropriate clothes for the weather especially light colours for protectiont from the sun.
Bring a hat and sunscreen for good sun protection.
(Of course, in many places you can buy these items there)
Check the travel advisories for your particular destination.
Bring a carefree attitude.......

Are you interested in a particular Caribbean Island?
We could give you better information if we knew where you were actually going.

Welcome to Fodor's travel forum. Always nice to see new people.

But we need to know more to reply...

What island are you visiting? How are you getting there? By cruiseship, by flight, by private yacht ?? Are you solo? Going as a couple? With a family? Are you young or old?

Also not to be picky -lol- but it's one 'R' and two 'B's for the Caribbean.

I agree more information would be welcome. A travel tip for sure if you go hiking or on a boat tour is to bring water abundantly; the Caribbean sun can get hot.

This post is from a couple months ago, and nancyadams has never returned.

You can't talk about "the Caribbean"... other than things like bug spray, suntan lotion, a bathing suit. Depends which island and even where on which island you are going. The advice for a 5-star all-inclusive resort in Aruba is different from someone backpacking around Jamaica. Just sayin'
