Tours in St. Lucia from Club St. Lucia

What tours would be suggested, and for what kind of money to expect, and from whom, the Reps or the locals, US dollars or credit cards? How to dress, would think rain forest would be denim walking shorts-t-shirt-hat-n-hiking boots, catamaran swimsuit, ? So don't know, but looking forward to the tours no matter what. I thank you in advance for any info.

I have stayed at Club St. Lucia. But, it has been about 8 years. I liked it actually even though it is not a 5 star resort. It had a real caribbean feel to it and the staff was wonderful. I remember taking the catamaran trip (booked at the hotel from reps) that went up to Soufriere for a walk by (can't walk on it now) the walk thru volcanoe, a hike back to diamond falls and then on the return snorkel time in the Rodney Bay area. It was a really great trip. I think at the time it was about 80.00, but it is probably over 100.00 now. It was a long trip though and I saw a lot during the day. There was a free hike from the hotel up to the lookout on the "cap" which was a fort (british or french). There is now a sandals sitting in that area so I don't know if the hike there continues. The resort had really good entertainment every night that rotated resort/resort. And then on one night a week there is a "jump up" in Castries. I think it is Friday night. You will love st lucia.

wtggirl,

I think you are talking about Pidgeon Island near the Sandal's Grand. You can still hike there. There is a $4-5USD entrance fee.

As to the original post, let us know what kind of activities you are interested in. Some are a little more strenous or you can sail on a catamaran. We rented ATV's or first trip and loved it. Half day excursion, home by lunchtime. Beautiful scenery on the Atlantic coast. Drive the ATV's on the beach and through a mangrove, rolling hills.. Got stuck briefly in the mangrove, oops! There are so many things to do, its just a matter of what you like.

We are up for any tours, the ATV's or bikes were on our list, as is a catameran, and of course the rainforest. Just wondering best places to book these, how to pay and kinda what to expect as far as money, so we can kinda plan on how many different tours we could take, and also what to expect, what to wear, etc. We also are interested in parasailing.I'm sure it'll be great no matter what, looking forward to the beauty and adventures this island has to offer. Thank you for your reply's. We are hoping to do the Jump Up thing also.

I recommend you check out sunlinktours.com. They offer several different types of tours and list the prices. Also stlucia.org to get an idea of what you want to do. I have also heard good things about the jeep safari. Combination of jeep ride open air to the rainforest and short hike. The ATV's were $140 per bike when we went. You can ride with 2 people or get you own. I have not heard of parasailing on St Lucia. If you want to do an island tour, recommend hiring a local taxi and negotiating a price. That way you get to see more of the island. If you don't like a lot of driving then look into the catamaran trips. Our driver stopped at several points of interest and scenic lookouts. Castries, The Mourne, banana plantation, Pitons and Soufriere, volcano and botanical gardens with scenic views of Anse La Raye and Canaries on the west coast. The ATV's afford beautiful views of the east coast.

When are you going to St. Lucia? My husband and I are going March 15-25 and staying at Windjammer Landing. We've never been before and can't wait.
