The beach is about 2 k in length and it takes about a half hour to walk down to Club Orient from Mount Vernon.
If you stay in Mount Vernon, you will need a car because it's dangerous to walk any distance at night especially on the beach.
There's a good and inexpensive car rental company in Orient Beach.
