Just a caution. You probably would not want to take the children to Bamba Shack. If you want more specific details, just let me know.

Well, I wouldn't take young children to Bomba's, period. But I wouldn't hesitate stopping by with older kids when it's not the Full Moon party, personally. It's both wacky and tawdry but in my opinion not more so than Bourbon Street in New Orleans when it's not Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest or some such party.

Eight of us stayed on Tortolla a couple of years ago and stayed at Johnny Hill Villas (top units) and loved it! It is up on a hill overlooking Cane Garden Bay. The view is incredible. We rented jeeps (4-wheel drives a must on Tortolla) from the owner Denzil Clyne. He's super nice.

The website is www.johnnyhillvilla.com

The price was one of the best we found.

Have a great time and enjoy Tortolla, you will love it.

We took two older kids to Bomba shack but between 7:30 AND 9:00 pm.

It was pretty mellow at that time ..... lots of families and People of all ages ....Vendors selling thier crafts .

The kids still joke about it all the time . It is fun to see...

DianeD: Exactly! It's really not a big deal at all during those times you mentioned. Our young teen granddaughter took a few pictures by day of the Bomba shack and had great fun reading all of the signs and placards that adorn it. Or maybe saying "that give it structural support" would be more appropriate.
