Too windy in Aruba?

Hi! My fiance' and I are thinking about going to Aruba for our honeymoon in October. I am concerned that it will be too windy to enjoy being on the beach. We do not want to have to fight off sand flying all over the place. ?????????
Anyone been in October???????

Lisa

I was to Aruba several years ago in October and didn't find it windy. There was always a breeze but that just made the temperature nice.

Lower wind speeds are reported between August and November. However, it is still windy. I found in February that the wind blew sand making it intolerable on the beach. Generally, the windiest months are the spring months!

We just returned from a week in Aruba. Yes, there is a wind blowing all the time, but it was usually more of a breeze - never enough to kick up the sand. It was actually lovely, because the breeze allowed you to stay out on the beach from morning till night without feeling like you were baking. It was just strange to get used to the sound of it at night, because I associate that sound with cold winters!

Yes, it is windy, but not intolerable. Actually, nice on the beach because you don't feel the heat of the sun. I just wore my hair in a pony-tail, or up, all the time. Bring hairspray!

Just returned from Aruba a few days ago - my third and not last trip! I've found that the wind at Palm Beach is less tha non Eagle Beach. I had no problem with flying sand on Palm Beach, the water is cal and warm there as well. As you'll discover, once you are use to the wind it really is a blessing because without it, it's too hot to stay in the sun!
Enjoy!
