too confused, time ticking
I'm going on my honeymoon in 6 weeks and am totally comfused. I was all set on Antigua, St. James so we could gamble, fish, snorkle. Then I"ve read awful reviews on this resort. I would like a nice, deluxe resort close to a casino, on the beach, with AC. I've checked out the Marriott in St. Kitt's, but I"m afraid it will be too crowded. We are traveling last week of Nov. Thanks if anyone has ideas. I don't care what island in the Carribean, just as long as I am close to gambling and on the beach with air conditioning.
Please help!
Thanks

Hello densgal! Have you considered Puerto Rico? If not you should I think because some of the best csasinos in the entire Caribbean are there, especially in Condado Beach and Isla Verde. The EL SAN JUAN in Isla Verde would be a resort you would love. Great casino and nightclub and right on a big beautiful beach close to wonderful restaurants and world class shopping.Just a thought.

I know Aruba may be getting bad press, but I'm from Alabama and just couldn't give them a dime. Maybe later. I'll check into Puerto Rico. I haven't read anything on it yet. Ditto for St. Martin. Thanks for your suggestions. Keep them coming!

One and Only Ocean Club is booked for the time I will be there. Looked great too! Is Atlantis decent, or over crowded? Anyone know of a great place to stay close to Atlantis so we could escape from the crowd if we need?

If you do (in the future) decide to visit Aruba then Bucuti Beach is just what you're looking for, it's a 2 minute walk from a casino and within easy reach of watersports. A very luxurious resort (stay in the Tara suites) and on a wide, white sandy quiet beach and the food is amazing.
Oh well, never mind perhaps for your 1st anniversary.

Hello again densgal! I fporgot to mention to you in my first reply to you that if You do go to St. Marten, make sure you visit the butterfly farm and also the Botanical Gardens. You should look into staying at the GRAND CASE BEACH CLUB.It is right next to beautiful Grand Case and staying there will save you a lot of money. Go to www.gcbc.com to check it out. Great Place.I hope this helps

Although I personally prefer the French side of St. Martin, as well, densgal is looking to be close to gambling. There is no gambling on the French side, so as far as St. Martin/St. Maarten, I would recommend staying on the Dutch side, perhaps even the Maho area if walking distance to a casino is preferred.

I checked out the One and Only Ocean Club and it sounds great. I have actually booked a room. I hope it's all that I hope it will be. We wanted seclusion as well as casino/ nightlife. I hope this will be just right! Any comments on One and Only Ocean Club? I'd love any input. We plan to tour Atlantis and retire aqt night to one and only!
