Hi there. Question for you re: T&C. So we're going in 6 weeks staying at GBC. My husband's beloved Dallas Cowboys are playing the Sunday afternoon we're there and he'd like to watch the game. Yes, I know, I know... but he did get my okay by bribing me (he's treating me to the GBC spa during the game)
. Question is whether there's a sports bar in Provo where he'd be able to see it. It'll be on the regular FOX channel. We're thinking it would be available at the hotel. Do you know?
Thanks!

okay, here's my confusing answer:
Fox is the only channel hard to come by on the island. There is a generic fox from Canada (I think channel 51?)that sometimes shows games. But it may not be the cowboys game.
There is a sports bar called Bambooz, has multiple TV's with the football package from Directv. They will have all the games they can "receive" on.
Here is where it gets confusing: If the cowboys game is on one of the DirectV channels, he'll be able to watch it. I think they use the NY system (or New Jersey) so: If the cowboys play any team close to NY, and it's broadcast on a local NY Fox, he won't be able to see it. If it's broadcast on a non affliated Fox because they are not playing in the NY area, then it will show on one of the DirectV football channels.
Trust me when I tell you, I've studied this, because my husband has to watch all the Redskin (sorry-rivals! ) games, so we usually could watch every game but that one.
My husband's solution? (and you won't like this one
He brought down a portable radio with Sirous Satalitte so at least on the beach he could listen to it. Or brought his laptop, I think you can get some tv shows that way.Find out before you go down to Provo though.
All places get ESPN, so at least he can watch highlights!

I knew I could count on you two! Thanks! We'll check it out. I e-mailed him (he's at work now) your confusing answer, Blamona
. Well, it's confusing to me but I bet he'll know. He works in satellite tv land so he knows all that stuff.
If it's not showing there, he'll tivo it and he's fine about that...but ESPN highlights is a good thought!
Thanks again!

Nope. Game is on 10/1 at Tennessee. Definitely on FOX. He tells me he understood what you said. He doesn't see why it would be on local FOX but he'll doublecheck. Yeah spa time! LOL. By the way, he hates the Eagles more than he hates the Redskins, so you're not that bad.
