Ironically, Wess, those solar panel arrays are popping up on the roof tops all across Camaguey city - at least so the wife tells me. But yes, only for those Cubans who are regularly receiving financial help from family members living on the outside of Cuba. For your average Cuban without that help, it's still a very tough haul each day trying to work with only 2 hours of electricity from the street.... AND that might happen too when that Cuban is at work, like my friend Maikel, so when he gets home from his shift at the ice cream factory, he's still left with no electricity in his casa to cook with or run fans. He's regularly cooking with wood now in his back patio. I can't afford to help all of my friends and other family members there in the same way that I help my wife, but at least they know that they can come to our casa and shove foods into our deep freezer and refrigerator for storage now that those appliances are running 24/7. That's just what Cubans do. They all help each other in any way that they can with whatever they have available. Terry

Sorry, CubanWaters, I hear you. I just won't say anything more about it within this thread, or anywhere else for that matter. My bad. I already feel uncomfortable enough talking about it anyway. CubanWaters, my name isn't CCO... it's Terry. I have no problem being known and referred to by my real name. Gracias socio. Terry
