My family & I were planning a trip to the Bahamas & were only able to reserve a spot in the Sheraton Grand hotel, but we really wanted to stay at the fully booked Atlantis. Any comments on the Sheraton & how can we still enjoy all the ammenities (aquarium & water slide,etc..) of the Atlantis?

Did you ask about Harborside Resort? It is the timeshare at Atlantis, but they also rent rooms. If you stay at the Comfort Suites, you also get full Atlantis priviledges. Otherwise, you can pay $25 to see the aquariums, but I do not think you can use the pools. Of course the casion is open to all.

I agree with the advise of the previous poster. Also, keep calling the Atlantis. They have cancellations and a room might become available. You can only use the pools and slides if you stay at Atlantis, Comfort Suites, or Harborside REsort.

You're not missing much by not staying at Atlantis. The food & service are terrible. They give tours of the aquarium-not sure about the waterslide area.

We have been to many fine resorts and we LOVE the Atlantis. WE had wonderful service and great food at Villa D'Este, The Bahamian Club and Fathoms. Also good food at Murray's Deli. The place is beautiful. Sometimes the service you receive depends on your tone when requesting service.
