St. Maarten with 4 yr old

Anyone know of the best beach with a 4 yr old child? I know many of you will say "ugh" about children, but the reality is some of us have them but can be good neighbors with those without...

Katy,

Went to St. Martin last year with my 2 daughters (aged 6 and 10). We stayed at the Grand Case Beach Club. There are actually 2 beaches there. One larger and one very small one. Both beaches were nice and my kids loved them both. There are no lifeguards though. But the smaller beach was as calm and clear as a swimming pool and we all enjoyed it very much.
Patty

The beach at L'Embouchure (also called Coconut Grove or Le Galleon) is very calm and shallow; popular with local families with children.

We stayed at Le Meridien-L'Habitacion when my son was about 3 and he loved the beach there and the hotel was great for families.

We have been to St. Maarten many times with grandchildren. Take them to the butterfly farm and Le Meridian beach is calm and shallow. Also there is a resaurant on the dutch side in front of Simpson bay that has large turtles that the children can pet. I can't remember the name but the kids loved it and the food wasn't bad either.
