St Kitts Marriott Resort

Has anyone stayed at St Kitts Marriott Resort? My husband has discovered an all inclusive package deal and the resort seems to be well rated. the fact that there is a casino is a bit of a turn-off for me though. Would appreciate any comments!

NinI,

I will be there in a month so I can answer any questions when I return
What kind of A/I deal did you get? we opted not to go that route as we thought it was $$

The staff is attentive and caring.
All rooms do not have balconies or in some cases a balcony may be shared with another room.
The main pool is the most popular, but there are two others which rarly see any use, there is the main building and then many courtyard buildings.
The breakfast at the cafe is good.
There are many other choices to eat at both on and off property at different price points.
It is a beautiful, new , large property.
Some feel negativly about it due to its impossing size, but the fact is that it has placed St Kitts on the tourism map during and after the normal "high season".
I think that that is the reason for objection................ abeautiful, undiscovered island, becoming "discovered".
Here is a flash movie of the resort.

I was at the resort last year. The only thing that bothered me was not every room having a balcony. It is almost ridiculous to think that this is a newly built bulding and there are very few balconies. We were promised an upgrade through Marriot, but I didn't think an upgrade was a balcony! We also bought the all inclusive plan which worked very well for us. The only down side is not experiencing the local food. All in all we were pretty happy with the trip.

Marriott is a beautiful resort. Directly on the beach, and has all the amenities you would need.

A web site you might enjoy is www.myislands.myeyez.net

A lot of members have been to this resort.

St. Kitts is a gorgeous unspoilt island. Lovely uncrowded beaches, friendly and helpful locals, safe island, rainforest and volcanco tours, historical Brimstone Hill, catamaran & snorkel excursions, kayaking and day trips to sister island of Nevis, and bonfires on the beach.

What more could you ask for?

Another useful site is www.discover-stkitts-nevis-beaches.com
