Seeking affordable accomodations in Anguilla

Can anyone suggest some affordable inns, hotels, or villas on Anguilla? Are there decent accomodations to be had for under $150 per night? Don't mind a short walk to the beach.

The Ferryboat Inn is a very reasonably priced guest house. The accommodations are bright and airy apartments with sitting room, balcony and full kitchen looking out toward the sea. There is a restaurant on premises. The beach is tiny but you can always drive to the better beaches. The hosts are very accommodating.

Check out the Anguilla online tourist guide at www.turq.com/anguilla. It has everything - inns, hotels, guesthouses, etc. One place in particular - the Allamanda Beach Resort was highly recommended by some people we talked to who were staying there when we were in Anguilla. It's a one minute walk to Upper Shoal Bay Beach - incredible! and I believe it's in your price range.

The Allamanda is a great hotel, small pool, short walk to beach, which, when we were there in April, was practically deserted. The restaurant is closed, but the beach bar is still open. You will need a car, it is out in the middle of no where. Our rate was $115.per nite. It is a lovely property.

Eliza, Kellyvilla is a lovely two bedroom/2 bath villa located in Seafeathers Bay, an exclusive residental area with private villas on the southeast coast of Anguilla. The current (until December 14, 1999) nightly rate is $177.00 including taxes and service charges. Tucked between the Oleanders and Bougainvillas it features amenities such as a Master Suite with King Bed, remote control cable tv/vcr, telephones, CD Player beamed ceilings with ceiling fans throughout, private entrances to large covered wraparound porch for open air dining or relaxation on the chaise lounges and unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea and St. Martin. The interior is completely screened in for your comfort and there are constant tradwinds flowing off the Caribbean Sea into this well maintained villa. Email for full info and reservations.
