Sandal's Beaches Negril

We're looking for something different this year.
We've been to Hawaii many times and are looking
for something new. Does anyone have any experience
with this resort?

We were there last Feb/97 & were one of the first
couples to get married there. The resort is 1st
class & very clean(they even tucked back the corner bed sheets at night & left a little card on your bed.

The staff are very friendly & there's lots of activities if you like to snorkel (great reef's), waterski, beach volleyball, etc.. They also have nightly entertainment near the bar & a great little piano bar to relax. The food was Very Good.

The beach is wide with the nice white sand. They have security(called you by name after the first day)on the beach & nobody hassles you trying to sell you stuff. Great hammocks built for 2 around the
beach propery.

This place is owned by the Sandals group & they keep up the standards here. We would recommend Beaches & would like to go back some day.

I second that about Sandal's Negril. We also got married there a couple of years ago and it was nice. THe hotel is wonderful. If you can afford it, splurge and get a deluxe beachfront room, otherwise your room will be way off the beach and most likely overlooking a parking lot. The beach was wonderful and there are alot of activities if you like that kind of thing. We hope to go back some day.

I'd rethink Jamaica. I'd also rethink an all inclusive resort on Jamaica. See other Jamaica postings as well as Grand Lido Negril, supposedly more upscale than Sandals.
