ROYAL WEST INDIES

Hello-

My husband and I are thinking of staying at the RWI instead of OCW. Does anyone have any comments about RWI? It seems more intimate. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you everyone, in advance.

We stayed there for two weeks in July 04.Very nice condo type rooms with washer/dryer which really came in handy.Very nice grounds, nice big pool, and steps away from one of the most gorgeous beaches .If you stay try for Bld#2,it has the best views.I really can't say anything bad about it.
If you are looking for action,or a hotel like atmosphere this may not be for you.

I'm sure you'll be happy with either one. If you had teenagers, I'd say OCW.

I think RWI looks very nice..walked into OCW for dinner turned around and walked out. Looked to me like a Florida vacation. If you are looking for intimate RWI is nice, building 1 is oceanfront. They say the upper floors in building 2 are oceanfront too, if I am paying for oceanfront I only consider building 1 oceanfront (if you are considering oceanfront) beautiful veiw!

Thank you to everyone! We are not looking for a party atmosphere, just a few places/restaurants to have a drink within walking distance and relax during the day on the beach. RWI looks like the perfect place from all the reviews we read. We have no children either.

trv, I can't believe you felt that way about OCW. In fact, I thought it was the nicest looking of all the T & C accomodations from the outside. So many of the buildings are sterile looking and others just didn't have a great settup. OCW had such a tropical feel to it and the layout of the property was the best.

I would pick RWI. Beautiful grounds. Also at RWI you can use bikes, hobies & snorkel gear for free. Ocean Club charges for use of their toys. Grounds are much nicer at RWI too.

Just got back 2 days ago from RWI and would highly recommend it. This was our second trip staying there and was very pleased. I totally agree about building # 2. We stayed in #222 and had a fabulous view.

Cooper, thank you! Yes, we are from Mass. Thinking of vacationing there next Feb. 2006. (the week after school vaca) We thought of Aruba, but after reading about the beaches in the Turks, we decided against Aruba. Janie

Hi
My parents are thinking about going to Provo in November. At the RWI are the chairs and umbrellas plentiful? Also can anyone compare RWI to the Sands? How is the resturant and what other resturants are close by? Is it noisy
Thanks, any input will be appreciated

Terex,
chairs and umbrellas are plentiful
Sands is more like a hotel ,RWI is more like a time share,or condo
Only ate lunch, and had pizza one night there. We heard it was ok,but had a car and ate out much cheaper
There is relly nothing for reastaurants close by,that you can walk to.
Club Med is next door ,but it is really quiet here.
