rose hall resort and country club
Has anyone heard anything about or stayed at Rose Hall Resort and Country Club since it's taken over by Luxury Resorts? I'm wondering what you think of the overall resort-grounds, food, rooms, pools, etc.

Stayed there last May & not much is different; they are doing major renovations, but, according to reports, the work is not obtrusive. Major construction (one wing at a time) is expected to be done by January 08. The grounds are nice & the waterpark makes kids of us all again.

The buffets are, well, buffets, we had no trouble finding something we liked & the a la carte places were very good. The service is fine though you are on "island time" & things tend to run a bit slower than you may be used to. I found that an occasional tip will improve service; they work very hard & are low paid. An occasional smile & thank you will go a long way too. I highly recommend going all-inclusive as their prices tend to run quite high, in my opinion. I suggest you visit www.tripadvisor.com to get more of a mixed review on your questions. My wife & I have stayed there 5 times so, obviously we like it, a lot
