romantic getaway

My husband and I are able to getaway for a weekend in late April/early May without the kids (its a big deal). We are choosing Bermuda because of the short/non-stop flight from Boston. The Reefs looks like exactly what we want, the problem is they have a 5 night min. stay(as well as Pompano). We do not want a megaresort. We would love somewhere which is on the beach and has some feeling of privacy(like seperate bungalos or even just our own patio). We also love service! Any suggestions?

Try Cambridge Beaches and Ariel Sands in Bermuda.

A friend of mine just returned from a stay in one of the Elbow Beach Hotel cottages and he said it was really extraordinary. Very luxe.

Try Pink Beach Club. We were there a couple of years ago and loved it. Nice, separate cottages right on a lovely beach. They come and serve breakfast to you each morning on your beachfront patio.

Thank you so much for the great suggestions, I think we will book the Pink Beach Club. Although I am slightly hesitant because of a couple of reviews stating the shabby "not chic" interiors of some of the suites.
Any feedback about that?
I appreciate your time.

Are you sure that the Pompano Beach Club has a five night minimum? Their website (http://www.pompano.bm/res_info.html) indicates that they have a four night minimum for most of their room categories (except during U.S. holiday periods which should not be the case in late April/early May):

"A four night minimum stay is normally required in the lower snapper suite, superior room or one-bedroom suite categories from March through November for any reservations that include Friday and/or Saturday nights. A five night minimum stay is required during several U.S. holiday periods. Deluxe rooms require a five night minimum stay throughout most of the year, whether or not Friday or Saturday nights are involved."

I was wrong about the 5 night min. stay at Pompano, their min. is 4 nights. However we only have 3 nights.
The cottages at the Elbow Beach look fabulous but there are none available for the time we will be there and I'm quite sure they are out of our price range.
Again, I think I'll go ahead with Pink Beach Club...it will be a wonderful weekend away no matter where we stay.
Thanks everyone

Majacl-I have stayed at PBC twice and loved it both times. The reviews are accurate-it is an authentic place, not a shiny new megaresort. It has always seemed truly Bermuda to me and I am sure you will love it if that is what you are looking for.

We had a delightful lunch on Pink Beach's
patio---very nice view and food. We passed through the small lobby---typical
English Bermudian decor, Old World charm.
