Karen, which Island are you calling home when you are there. I am not familiar with STT restaurants, etc. but can give you some ideas on St. John. (Please note it is St. John - St. John's is elsewhere) Let me know.

Not sure when you are leaving, but here goes: BlackBeard's Inn (expensive but the terrace is wonderful and they do a one seating one couple at the top of the castlekeep nightly), quiet piano music. Craig and Sally's and Alexanders in FrenchTown. in Town, Virgilios for Italian, Lindy's at Malfolie (great views), Banana Tree at BlueBeard's, Herve, some still love 1829. Red Hook, Caribb Saloon, Frigate, definately Cafe Wahoo, Molly Malone's (pub) or Tale of a Whale. Compass Point, either Raffles (my preference) or Dottie's Front Porch. Blue Moon at Secret Harbour, Jerry's Beach Bar or Mim's at Watergate (same owner - both good and have all you can eat shrimp nite). Agave Terrace is at Point Pleasant. There is a $5 dinner cruise that takes you to 5 different locations - see if it is still running. Schnitzel Haus has limited menu but good veal dishes. Look for the Restaurant Guide when you arrive. Romano's is highly recommended by Smith Bay for Italian (high prices!). On St. John, check out Asolare (fusion food) or Chateau Bordeaux, Lucious Licks, Morgan's Mango. Avoid Pussers. Old Mill is the party place on St. Thomas as is the GreenHouse and Caribb Saloon or Duffy's in Red Hook. Woody's on St. John is one spot and Duffy's is opening there now! Check www.st-thomas.com/week/ for the Yellow Book for the current happenings and music/entertainment schedules.

Do a search for my recent trip report and other posting on this topic. The best meal we had on St John was at the Lime Inn.

On St. John - Paradiso is "to die for". For Happy Hour - Woody's is a must.

How could I have forgotten Dining with Andre on St. John???? Chilly Billy's during the day - good breakfasts - but it "converts" at nite!!! Hate to disagree, but neither Lime Inn nor Paradiso floats my boat!!!!

The Fish Trap is terrific, very good fish dishes and interesting recipes (but not absurd combinations). Also Chateau de Bordeaux is worth the dinner just for the view, but the food is great too.
