restaurants in St martin

Does anyone know if Le santal is still open? What is the best (food) and most romantic (prefer ocean view) restaurant in St Martin?

Le Santal is open, romantic, excellent, and water view. La Cigale is my favorite- its in Baie Nettle, a bit hard to find, across from the Pharmacie. Temptation and Rare, altho not ocean view are pretty rooms with terrific food.

I had a great meal at Auberge Gourmande, but an outstanding dinner at Le Pressoir.

"Best" is so subjective. So much depends on your preferences, palate, budget, etc. My personal favorites (e.g. L'Escapade, Bistrot Caraibes, La Vie En Rose, Le Tastevin) may not even register one someone else's scale.

None of these have an ocean view but they are our favorites. You'll get a great meal at any of them. Auberge Gourmande and Bistrot Caraibes had the most romanatic atmosphere of my list.
