Resorts with "Private" pool rooms
A few years ago we had the pleasure of staying at Cap Juluca in one of their "private pool" villas. The full size pool was surrounded by tall walls covered in lush greenery and flowering plants. It truly was PRIVATE!
We would like to find another resort in the Caribbean or Mexico which would offer the same.
Do you know of any others? We're not interested in rooms which offer "plunge" pools.... too small and generally not private. i.e. stayed at the new Mayakoba Rosewood villa with private pool but was totally open to people walking along the beach and your neighbors.
(I will post this on Latin America forum also)

Spice Island Beach Resort on Grenada has at least one suite with a private pool. Can't say how large it is, but it might be worth checking into.
At one time, the Calabash Hotel on Grenada also had some suites with private pools, but I'm not sure if they still exist.

If you have the budget look into Jade Mountain, St.Lucia. You can also look into Stonefield Villas in St. Lucia-we stayed there and loved it-the villa Frangipani has a private full sized pool. If we hit the lottery I'd love to stay at Jade, but Stonefield is beautifil and great for the price. Good luck!

Just ran across this fabulous "cottages".... not like any cottage I've seen!
http://www.hotelesencia.com/spaces/cottages.html
A couple years ago we stayed at Ikal del Mar (now called Tides) I believe they used to be sister properties, but are now separate.
