Radisson or Mariott or Comfort Suites for first Bahamas trip?

I'm surprising my husband with his first trip ever out of the US. I have a flight booked to Nassau, but I can't decide where to stay. The Comfort Suites has access to everything at Atlantis and continental breakfast. With the other two, for a little more we can go all inclusive. Our priorities will be proximity to a casino and a nice beach/pool bar. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, any real preference between paradise island and cable beach?

Thanks,
Hallie

Gp for the Radisson Cable Beach. Beautiful beach and pool. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Try to get a room on the third floor. It's easy access to the lobby and pool area and no wait for an elevator to the higher floors. We had ocean view. It was great. The food is not bad for Caribbean fare. The Italian restaurant was the best. The casino is next door at the Marriott. It's an easy walk through a passageway connecting the two hotels. Forget Comfort Suites and Atlantis is just too big- more like Disney than Caribbean.
Hope this helps.

the radisson cable beach is nice but some of the rooms are a bit run down and can be quite a distance from the elevators. when you book there, make sure to ask for a more newly renovated room not too far away from the elevator.
we liked the dolphin grill (i think that's what it was called)-it's an outdoor lunch cafe sort of thing. good fish and chips.

Hallie, It's me again. I'd go with Antoinette and Nancy's suggestions and take the Radisson.

There is a casino right next door at the Marriott, but I don't like the Marriott over the Radisson. We usually stay at the Nassau Beach Hotel and it's fine for what we need. There is four hotels in a row: Breezes, Nassau Beach, Marriott and the Radisson.

Cable Beach is a nice area and the two restaurants that I mentioned on your other thread are just a short walk on either side of the Radisson. The hotel also has a nice beach.

I stayed at both the Comfort Suites and the Radisson last year, and if you can afford it, stay at the Atlantis. Comfort Suites is a good value, but it's quite a walk to the beach. However, the beach is beautiful, much nicer than the Radisson's, and you do get to use all the facilities at the Atlantis (an amazing place). The night life is lacking in both places, but you should make a point of going to Cafe Johnny Canoe's on the weekend - the employees are a blast!
We much prefer staying on Grand Bahama Island, at the Our Lucayan. It's a much more quaint atmosphere, with a truly beautiful beach!
