Provo

I have been reading all your posts for months
anticipating our trip next Sunday. I hope
our trip is as memorable as everyone else.
any last minute tips, especially driving,
we will rent a car for a couple of days,
restaurants especially where the local people
dine? and what restaurants are near OCW?
Are there any island tours? Thanks.

I strongly recommend Dive Provo. We honestly have only used them for snorkeling trips, but I can tell you that they are a very professional outfit. The guides were wonderful, their boats are kept spotless, and they offer a great time for all. They go by the book on safety issues.

We've also been snorkeling with J&B and Silver Deep, and I think they may also do dive trips. Even if they do, I would stick with Dive Provo.

I can't respond to the restaurant issue, as we always go to all-inclusive resorts.

We will be going back to T&C for our 4th visit on May 29. I CAN"T WAIT.

assume you have your rental car already. if not i have had good luck with scooter bobs and provo fun cycle. best tip is mind the speed bumps on the grace bay road. they will def jolt you if you are not at crawl.
i recall seeing locals dining at aqua bar, especially at lunch time. best bet to strike up convo with locals always seems to be around any given happy hour. my favorite rest. is anacona! well and the czburger at sharkbite.
i have seen a post about tours but think you could just go on your own. it is NOT a big island. really 2 east/west roads with some crossroads. you should go to the conch farm. also go out the blue hills highway to bugaloos for conch lunch. they actually go into the sea, get a conch and prepare to order for you. and bugaloo is quite a treat. byob. malcolm road beach is the other big excursion, but may not be open (ask on island). you will need a jeep to go there. suggest you get car and trade for a jeep for that day.
have a great trip.
