Private Island suggestions?
We are looking for private resorts/islands in the carribean. Have stayed at PSV and LOVED it! Anything similar that anyone has visited? Peter Island looked like it was nice but too many boats anchoring on their beaches. Want privacy and beautiful beaches. Just need a bar and room service - no nightlife is necessary for us! Any ideas anyone?? thanks!

Guana Island? but not quite the same as PSV. How 'bout Young Island or even SaltWhistleCay in the Grenadines? Meridian Club is very private also but no room service lunch or dinner but you can do picnic lunches. Not a long trek at all to dinner in the club house from the rooms. Only 12 rooms there and one one-room "cottage" off from the others. I didn't like PSV but loved Meridian and the beach!

Just came back 'cause I thought of a couple more. I thought McLaughlin/Anderson handled Little St. James (and there are some moorng bouys off it) but found the following website: <BR>www.fortmyers.com/turks/crusvil.stJames. html <BR>You can go to http://www.caribbean-yachting.com/sm.../frconten.html for a list of many of the small islands thru out the Caribb. They are linked but don't know which will give you info. Deadman's is not a great anchor so while there are some who do it, I have never seen it crowded or felt that there were "too many" boats - one or two at the most. Anyone wanting to stay overnite usually heads for the marina.

You don't get the "room service" like you do at PSV but it is a wonderful spot! Great swimming unlike psv and warm friendly hosts unlike psv. if you go to www.scubamom.com you'll find more recent information than my stay and she is right on target! <BR>Altho neither Cap nor Malli is a private island, Cap is fantastic with a fantasic beach and is extraordinary! Malli is perched on a bluff so you are not directly on a beach. Both are indeed wonderful spots as is Anguilla.
