Hi Zdrav. I visited a lot of Caribbean islands. My last trip was to Aruba and it was phenomenal. The people there really embrace the "One Happy Island" lifestyle. I traveled with a girlfriend and we never felt unsafe walking around the hotel and ours was located in downtown. Day or night it was a lovely place. Aruba however can be expensive for North American's I can't say what the prices are for you but if it is affordable then I think you will love it. I also did some excursions there Jeep tour and snorkelling where I saw a shipwreck it was really cool trip. I can't wait to go back.

Dominican I also visited last year. We stayed in Punta Cana. Dominican you are kind of limited to the resort, it is less safe outside the resort, but people still venture out. There are lots of resorts to choose from there and we really enjoyed the excursions on that trip as well.

I would also recommend Antigua. We got a really great deal on a hotel called Jolly Beach Resort in February and it was like a 3 or 31/2 star but I loved it. The staff and people there were awesome, the beach is long and you can walk for miles and Antigua like Aruba is a safe happy place where you will be able to rent a car and drive around.
