Bahamian Trivial Pursuit Question No. 4

OK, here we go again. Jane took Trivian No. 3, scoring 100% on both questions. On one of the outer islands, namely Abaco, lives a colony of endangered parrots, called the Abaco Parrot. One question:

(1) What is it about these parrots, regarding their nesting habits, that make them one of the most unique parrots in all the world?

A correct answer on this question will automatically get you a job at the Smithsonian Institution as a research ornithologist. No, good guess. And, they don't eat pigeon peas and rice either. Good stab at it, though. Robert

Ruth.....YOU ARE RIGHT!!! The Bahama Parrot on Abaco nests in limestone holes in the ground. There are very few holes in Abaco's trees. Still, they need pine forests to live on, and if you ever drive south from Marsh Harbor on the Great Abaco Highway(a bumby road of limestone and sand) you will see thousands of acres of caribbean pines. Another Bahama Parrot lives on Great Inagua, but they nest in trees. Great job, Ruth!!! Bahama Trivial Pursuit No. 5 is in the making. Oh, second runner up is Sharon, for the "most intelligent guessor" award. Robert
