Planning a honeymoon in Aruba this winter

I am thinking of going to Aruba at the beginning of December for my honeymoon. Any suggestions? If not there, pls. suggest any others. Not too crowded w/ lots of things to do. Also how is the weather in the winter?

Aruba is a great honeymoon destination. We have been there many times and just love it. We feel safer there than anywhere else in the Caribbean. By all means stay at the Hyatt Regency. It is a beautiful hotel! Our favorite in Aruba. We have stayed at the LaCabana (which reeked of roach spray and the so-so beach is across the highway), the Holiday Inn (which is a good value and a great location), the Sonesta (which is pretty with their beach being on a private island near the airport but is just too noisy now that Orangestaad is so developed and busy). We like the Hyatt the best. Do not do all-inclusive in Aruba. There are terrific gourmet restaurants there. It is fun to try them out. LaPetite Cafe is one of our favorites (in the town square, not at the Americana). Hotel food is, well, hotel food. You are in luck with the weather since we have been at different times of the year and the weather is always the same. Breezy, high 80's, no rain! Have fun!

Hyatt Regency in Aruba is magnificent and so is Aruba. Very clean, nice people, beautiful beaches, good food. We have been to a number of places in Caribbean and Aruba is one of the best, if not the best. Have fun!

Be sure to take a jeep tour around the island. Great way to see the sights and have a blast! Stayed at La Cabana and agree with previous comments. Also stayed at Caribbean Palm Village. Nice place but a fair distance from the beach. Not bad to walk if you're not carrying a lot of stuff. You also have to wait for taxis to come out there unlike the ones on the main strip which always have taxis waiting there. Don't rent a car, it's not worth it. Make sure you check out the siesta time before going downtown cause everything is closed then. Have a great trip and congrats on your upcoming marriage.

Love Aruba and have been there twice. Have stayed at LaCabana but didn't experience the roach spray smell and enjoyed our stay. Maybe they had the misfortunate of being there on spray day, which I would assume all hotels must have to eliminate bugs, you are in the carribean. Must of worked they didn't comment on bugs!!! I do agree the Hyatt is a fabulous resort and the food and service was great there. We found the Holiday Inn to be dirty and the casino area dark and we didn't feel safe there. Enjoy your honeymoon and I'm sure you'll love Aruba.
