Pizza in Marigot, St. Martin

20 years ago I was in SXM and had wonderful pizza in Marigot in an outdoor like pizza place, not a sit down restaurant. The sauce tasted like there was wine in it. I think I saw it on the travel channel a few years later on a segment on St Martin. Does anyone know the place? We are going in 2 weeks and would love to go there.

I know exactly the place you mean but can't tell you if it's still there or not.

Bar de la Mer, perhaps?

This is right across from the open air market. I've eaten there a few times (I too love the pizza).

I can't think of the place you are talking about.
sorry.
Bar de la Mer was closed and has now reopened under a different managment. I have no idea how the food is now.
there is a good pizza place in the Port Royale Marina in Marigot. It is a regular restaurant but serves excellent pizza.
it's called Le Belle Epoque.
On the Dutch side in Simpson Bay, there is a small place called Pizza Galley.. they have fabulous pizza...
Pizza Galley is near Lee's Roadside Grill right before you cross the bridge going to the airport.

I get the feeling that when I get back to St. Martin, I'm not going to recognize the place.... It's been about 5 years since I was there last. I've been reading the St Martin /St Maarten cruise port section on Cruise Critic lately, and it seems that there's been a lot of changes.

Of course, the OP mentioned that it was 20 years ago when she/he was last there.
