Packages Available for Ladera?

We are trying to plan a honeymoon to Ladera Resort in St. Lucia. Air alone is about $900pp. $1800 just for flight? Does anyone know if there are any air/land packages available for Ladera? If so, what travel company has them. My local travel agents seem to have never even heard of Ladera Resort. It would help if I knew what travel company books/resort catalogs to tell them to look in (i.e. AA vacations, GOGO travel, Friendly Holidays, Funjet, Apple, etc.) Thanks for any help any of you may be able to provide. Cheryl

We used Liberty Travel in NYC. Regardless, though, $900 pp seems very high for airfare to St. Lucia. Have you done extensive searches for airfare?

I just priced this out myself for July 2001. Try Air Jamaica Vacations and Travel Unlimited (their websites are just like their names) Air Jamaica's number is 1-800-lovebird. From Indianapolis, I got prices of around $1800 per person for 6 nights. I priced it out myself and air was $963 per person from Indy, and Ladera's rate for the deluxe one bedroom in July is $271. So, really the packages are no great deal; they just allow you the option to pay a small deposit to book, rather than pay for the airfare all at once up front if you do it on your own.

The above poster said they got a price of $271 from Ladera. Isn't that per night and not for the 6 nights?

Yes, Sally. Oops! That'd be a real shack at $271 for 6 nights!

I recommend checking American Airlines packages and Travel Unlimited.

I have heard about some people who had bad experiences on Air Jamaica, but I personally have never flown them.

Travel Center (www.travelunlimited.com or 1-800-228-1502) does packages to Ladera.
